King Alfred

This project is on hold at the present moment due to the current economic climate. We are extremely disappointed that this wonderful scheme has not been able to continue but we are extremely proud of the fact that we worked with many wonderful people, including Frank Gehry, who were all striving to rejuvenate this area.

The £300 million King Alfred Project has been created by Karis in partnership with ING Real Estate.

This outstanding scheme has been designed by Frank Gehry, one of the world's greatest living architects, and has been hailed as "one of the most significant developments in Britain for the last thirty years".

Frank Gehry's design has been inspired by both his love of the sea and the history and architecture of Brighton and Hove. We believe Frank Gehry is the world's greatest living architect, he is the architect best able to capture the essence of Brighton and Hove and his stunning design for the King Alfred reflects the City's distinctive spirit and individuality.

Situated directly on the seafront, Hove town centre, with its range of shops, bars and restaurants, is right on the doorstep and the site is just a mile from the centre of Brighton. Fast rail links to London and Gatwick are easily accessible.
