Although situated at the south end of historic Preston Park, this disused car showroom and garage was an ugly eyesore, its dilapidation adding to the run down environment in the immediate area.

Karis gained approval in 2002 to redevelop the site and build 124 homes however, with an aspiration to develop an exceptional scheme that maximised the full potential of the site and its stunning location, we commissioned internationally renowned architect Piers Gough of CZWG Architects to design something very special. Unfortunately these proposals, although widely supported, were never approved and the original scheme was developed as 100% affordable housing.
